Search the city and state together to avoid a similarly named place. Compare the listing with the department's official website before relying on an address or phone number.

The closest building may not be the agency responsible for the location of an incident. Before travelling, ask whether that office handles your request and whether an appointment is needed.

For a police report, records request, or recruitment question

Use the agency website to find the relevant public contact: records, non-emergency assistance, or recruitment. Do not put case details or identity numbers into a map search. This tool cannot file a report or send a message to a department.
